I've been able to get a lot accomplished this weekend, but nothing makes me happier than sitting on the floor with my back against the couch, to turn around to this...

Taxes

In the beginning of this process, I was weirdly enjoying the process of filing our taxes.  We made an appointment with an accountant, but I thought I would try to use TurboTax to see what damage I could do, without having to pay hundreds of dollars to get them done.  We were hoping to be able to buy appliances with our tax return money this year, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

Oh well!  A return is a return!  I am still waiting for my form from Penn State for my totals for how much I've paid, but other than that, all the information is in!  Can't wait to get them finished!  What an exciting Saturday night, haha!

What I'm Thankful For

What I'm thankful for today are the girls that I have met on The Knot.  What started out as a board where we bounced ideas off each other for our upcoming June weddings, has become an awesome tight-knit group of girls who are sharing a lot of life's "firsts" together.  Today we got to be part of our first gender reveal as a whole group of "Aunt's" and we were estatic to welcome the idea of our future nephew to be born in July!  Another friend is due in July too on the same day, so we'll be proud aunts!  There are already some June bride babies, so we are celebrating those as well!

Anyway, I just wanted to say that I am so grateful for these ladies, and I feel so close to them, even though we are so far apart from each other.  I love my Knotters, and they make my day complete! :-)

Warm!

I know that it's something so trivial and something small, but this morning made me appreciate my husband even more.  He was up a little bit before me, and he started my car for me!  While it only took him a few seconds, it made my morning so much smoother!  I was able to get into a warm car with the seats already heated.  I know I don't say it enough, so I'm so appreciative of you, Jason.... even though you'll never read this :-)

New Carpet

We were able to save up to get new carpet in the living room, and man do we love it!!  Thanks to Pete and Nick from On All Floors (http://www.onallfloors.com/index.htm) we came home to awesome new carpet on Friday.  Here are some pictures

I've successfully done Jillian Michaels on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday this week.  I had my rest day on Wednesday, so I'm hoping to be as successful with the weekend coming up.

We've Jason has been working on some projects around the house.  He put a tile floor in our master bathroom, which is slowly being put back together.  And we are getting new carpet in the living room!  Wooo hooo!!  Pictures to come :-)

Resolution

I am going to do the standard get in shape resolution like everyone else.  I really, really need to get back into shape.  So I bought this lovely program

And let me tell you, Jillian Michaels is tough!  I just completed Level 1, which I failed miserably at last week.  So my first official day is complete, and I am already sore.  While I hate being sore, it's a good type of sore, and I am hoping I'll be able to keep up with it even though grad classes start this week, and my week has a ton of babysitting scheduled.  I WILL make time for it!!

News to Share!!

I am officially now allowed to share!  Jason got a full time job this week, and went to sign all the paperwork today!!  He is going to start on Monday at Central York High School full time in the Social Studies department.  We couldn't be more thrilled!! 

 Check out this beauty of a building he will be working at!  It's gorgeous!  I can't speak from experience because I've only been there once for a New Teacher Orientation session, but what I saw that night was beautiful!  According to Jason, his classroom will be on the second floor in the front of the building.  Can't wait to see it and organize in it :-)

2012

We may or may not have big news later in the week, but I just wanted to say that I was worried that 2012 wouldn't be able to hold a candle to all the amazing things that happened to/for us in 2011, but I was wrong!!  So excited and happy!

Happy New Year

I wanted to post this last night, but we were busy preparing for our New Years Eve celebrations here at our house.  But that's what this post will be about.  It was exactly one year ago (last night) that this house

was sent to me through e-mail.  I got it on New Years Eve 2010 when were at my parents house, and I literally showed it to everyone who was at the celebration.  We were able to see it with the help of our amazing realtor Steve, and it quickly made it to the top of our favorite houses list.  Fast forward to New Years Eve 2011, and we're celebrating with 20+ of our closest family and friends in our beautiful, complete home.  It has been quite the adventure, and we absolutely love our house.  If you'd like to see the before and after pictures, check out the website :-)
