Dear Jason

I think I am going to start a new post on Fridays called "Dear Jason."  Even though I know that he'll never come across my blog to read it, I thought the idea would be fun!!

Dear Jason,

I just wanted to say thank you for a few things from this week.  First of all, thank you for motivating me to keep doing my running program by saying you will massage my legs each time that I complete the program for the day.  As silly as it sounds, it really is something that helped me keep running this morning when I was DYING in the heat.

Secondly, I wanted to say thank you for always taking care of our lawn.  Considering it went from this:
to this:
I can absolutely say that it's thanks to your hard work and dedication.  The yard looks amazing, and I'm so glad that I don't have to do any of it :-)  I know that everything has grown in much more than in the last picture, but I promise I'll take more pictures this summer so I can document your hard work!

Finally, I can't thank you enough for being patient with me in our decision to wait a little longer to start our family.  I know that you are in a huge rush, but it makes the most sense to wait until I'm finished my Masters, even though I know you'll make a great father!

I thank you for one year together, and I cannot wait for the many years to come!!

I Love You!
Forever and Always!!

Kindles

I have never been much of an avid reader, unless I find an awesome book or series.  This week, down at the beach, I have been able to use one of my birthday presents from my parents-- A Kindle.  I wasn't sure how much I would like it, but this week I have really come to love it, and the books that I have had access to, all through one little piece of technology!

Currently as I am typing this, I am taking a break from the normal routine, but most days, you can find Meghan, Brie and I like this...

If you are contemplating buying a Kindle, it's totally worth it, and the ads (come with the cheaper version) don't even bother me!!

Happy Anniversary (Early) To Me!!!

I know I've said it over and over, but I have a wonderful husband!  Last year, we missed the family vacation to Ocean City, NJ because it was the week of our wedding.  Our family came home Saturday in time for our wedding, so we knew it just wasn't in the cards for us last year.  With that said, we're really, really looking forward to the trip this year, and we leave tomorrow for the week!

Jason mysteriously ran an errand this afternoon while I was busy packing, and what he brought back was the BEST present ever, and I was totally surprised!  He made the deal with me this summer that I could save all of my babysitting money for an Ipad, so I have been responsibly saving it all!  Welllllll.... What he brought back was a brand new Ipad for me, and wanted to give it to me early so I could have it for the beach!!  It was absolutely awesome, and I've spent the day putting apps on it and uploading music.  Can't wait to use it in NJ!!

Hopefully I'll have some time to post while on vacation, but I'm not making any promises :-)

Happy Birthday!!

Happy Birthday to one of my favorite little guys!!  He turned the big SEVEN today, and for his birthday, he requested to go to a York Revolution game.  Yes, the same York Revolution that I posted about below.  The surprise for him was that I had gotten it arranged that not only would his name be up on the big screen for his birthday, but I was able to get it arranged that he got to throw out the FIRST PITCH!!

Listening to the National Anthem

He also got to participate in the fruit race between innings, which he won!

Also, he got to stand on top of the dugout with Adam and another woman who was celebrating her birthday!

Finally, him and the mascot Downtown.

What a great 7th Birthday!!  We love you buddy!!

Revolution Game

Back in April, Jason was asked to play on a select team of the Central and Susquehanna League All-Stars who were picked to play against the York Revolution.  For those of you who don't know who the York Revolution are, they are an American professional baseball team that was brought to York a few years ago, so playing against them was a big honor!  I thought I would share some pictures from that day, Jason had a lot of fans there!!
