Bennett- Thirty Months

Bennett's Likes: He still loves trucks, but has recently gotten into Toy Story.  He loves Buzz and Aunt MeMe got him a Buzz for Christmas that he's really excited about!

Bennett's Dislikes: Sharing with his brother

Eating Habits: His eating is hit or miss.  It's helpful that he can communicate what he wants now, but sometimes it's a request like "hot dogs and applesauce" since he had it once at Nonny and Poppy's
Accomplishments: He is talking up a storm.  He has learned all of the real names for people and proudly recites them when you ask for them.

Bennett- Twenty Seven Months

Bennett's Likes: His new "cheese" face, trucks, driving his car from Uncle Eric, riding his Cars bike, eating hummus and blue corn chips, singing and dancing

Bennett's Dislikes: Getting dressed, if things are floating in the bath water, getting his diaper changed

Eating Habits: Not really into eating lately.  You can always count on chicken fingers and french fries, yogurt, waffles and cereal
Sleep: He is my constant reassurance that at least ONE of my kids sleeps.  He's such a good sleeper and I'm so thankful I can always count on that!
Accomplishments: He is embracing his big brother role and loves whispering "hiiii Bop" to Carson.  He also must give both he and I a kiss goodnight before naps and bedtime. His vocabulary is increasing as well.  He is really good at identifying colors when you ask which is which.  If you ask him to say them, they're all "bluuuuue"

Bennett- 2 Years

Bennett's Likes: Mighty Machines, PAW Patrol, trucks, fruit, being outside, bubble baths, the pool,   music and dancing, fake sleeping, giving hugs and kisses, going to see Da at "ball," jumping in on his brother's weekly pictures

Eating Habits: Loves fruit still, other foods are so hit or miss right now
Sleep: Usually sleeps from about 9:30 until 8:00/9:00 (Baseball keeps him up late)
Accomplishments: He celebrated his second birthday!! Loves being a big brother (most times). His words: Pop, Gigi, Meme, Drrrrrist, ball, mow, Ryder, Chase, Bop (Carson), boat, bubbles

Bennett- Twenty-Three Months

Bennett's Likes: PAW Patrol, bath crayons and bubbles, his lawn mower, trucks, ice cream (especially from the ice cream truck on Tuesday nights), walks, being scared by Daddy, wrestling with Daddy
          
Bennett's Dislikes: Being "done" eating and throwing his plate or food (maybe that's more of OUR dislike)

Eating Habits: Loves eating a strawberry waffle, fruit and sometimes turkey sausage for breakfast-- likes to eat snacks throughout the day, and his favorite is fruit

Accomplishments: His new favorite word is "SSSIIIITTTT" I think he really likes bossing people around. He knows star as well, and just recently started saying tur-tle, and he's starting to add more names into the mix.  He loves saying "bubbles" when he goes to take a bath.

One Month Comparison

We are working on getting Carson's' first month blog post up (need to take the pictures still) but to hold you over, here are the first four week pictures.  For fun, I included Bennett's first four weeks as well!  To me, they look pretty different, but Jason swears that they look very similar.  What do you think?

Twenty Two Months

Bennett's Likes: Watermelon, strawberries, blueberries, bananas, puzzles on the tablet or Mommy's iPad, walks, going to the park, color water (Mio in his water), sitting at the table, his brother (most times)
                                 
Bennett's Dislikes: The bath tub-- he pooped in it twice and now is terrified of taking a bath, watching certain iMovies that I've made (if the background music is too "sad" he cries), sitting in his highchair

Not So Sure About: Getting his diaper changed, when he poops in his diaper, he grabs it to tell you that he needs changed (even though he doesn't want to be changed),

Weight: We think he's between 27-29 pounds, the scale hasn't been consistent!

Diaper Size: Still in size 4 Swaddlers during the day, size 5 baby dry at night
Eating Habits: He isn't eating too much lately-- he will ALWAYS eat fruit, but isn't interested in much other food
Sleep: He has been sleeping in since I'm on maternity leave-- he usually sleeps 9-9 now
Accomplishments: He loves being a big brother, if Carson cries, he brings him a pacifier, giving kisses, says mail, more please, blue and make a siren sound for a fire truck, counting by making sounds in the tone of 1-2-3

Twenty One Months

Bennett's Likes: Holding his little brother (it's so cute when he asks to hold him), saying "oooooh toodles" when watching MMC, fruit, playing in the basement, playing outside on his little jungle gym, going to the park, walks, helping Daddy in the yard
 
Bennett's Dislikes: Messes, coming inside

Not So Sure About: The hospital-- he didn't like being confined to one room

Twenty Months

Bennett's Likes: Being outside and going to the park (we have learned we have to spell that one), his Grandpa, any fruit, bath time, putting color tablets into his bath water, Blender bottles, dancing to music, giving raspberries to his brother on my belly

Bennett's Dislikes: Messes-- if he leaves crumbs somewhere, he will walk you to the dust buster to get it to clean it up

Not So Sure About: The actual vacuum, unexpected noises, what to do around other kids in certain situations

Clothing Size: Switched him over to 24 month clothes, including 24 month jammies
Diaper Size: Still in size 4 Swaddlers during the day, size 5 baby dry at night
Eating Habits: His eating comes and goes, right now he's not too interested in meals.  Regardless, he still dumps onto the ground (unfortunately)
Sleep: He still sleeps about 8:30-8
Accomplishments: He is really starting to say words much better, Grandpa swears he said "asparagus"

Nineteen Months

Bennett's Likes: He is back to loving "aaaasssseeee" (Chase) and divebombing him-- poor Chase, stacking things and playing with his blocks, still has a love of trucks, playing hide and seek with Daddy, his teepee, shoes and other people's shoes, talking at you (in jibberish) complete with a pointing finger

Bennett's Dislikes: When he doesn't get his way, we see some pretty insane temper tantrums.  They don't happen very often, but he's perfecting them very well

Not So Sure About: Why Daddy and I keep putting our hands on my belly-- he doesn't quite understand that one.  He also doesn't understand why he can't lift everyone's shirts and look for their babies ;)  He also has a new found reservation with the vaccuum

Weight: He put himself on the scale this weekend and it read 27 pounds (not sure how accurate it is)

Clothing Size: Still 18 Month clothing, 24 month sleepers-- 18 month pants are getting a little short so we may switch over soon
Diaper Size: Still in size 4 Swaddlers during the day, size 5 baby dry at night
Eating Habits: He is back to loving breakfast, eats lots of snacks and is quite the fruit boy-- he'll eat it all

Accomplishments: He really understands hide and seek now and can anticipate where his Daddy is, his dance moves have improved tremendously

Eighteen Months

Bennett's Likes: He has become quite the ham, he has a "cheese" face he does on his own, waving to people to get their attention, giving his brother kisses, the new under-cabinet lighting, point and "talking" at you

Bennett's Dislikes: Losing his basement play area when the basement flooded-- he just could not understand that he couldn't go downstairs.

Not So Sure About: The car and longer rides-- he does like when he can see and hear "ucks" out of the window

Bennett's Likes: Stairs, black olives, his dessert of an Oreo after dinner (you should see the way he can split those things!), being chased, finding people's bellies, trucks and cars, listening for the UPS/FedEx/Mail Truck, Peek-a-boo Barn, giving kisses, blowing kisses and waving

Bennett's Dislikes: Coming upstairs from the basement (he hasn't been able to go down much since we're getting it worked on) or when you bring him inside

Not So Sure About: Baths- pretty hit or miss!

Fifteen Months

Bennett's Likes: Climbing the stairs if we don't have the gate up, saying "noooo" when he's doing something he shouldn't be doing, bananas, still loves "ucks," talking to Siri, taking walks in his stroller or wagon, drawing with his easel and color wonder markers, running between the bedrooms upstairs wanting to be chased

Bennett's Dislikes: Coming inside when he's outside

Not So Sure About: Baths... they've become hit or miss

Diaper Size: Size 4 during the day, 5 at night
Eating Habits: Breakfast is usually a banana, cheerios, mini pancakes and sausage.  Lunch is chicken, fruit and a cheese stick. Dinner is usually what we are having with an added veggie or fruit if he didn't have one at lunch.  He really loves "nacks" though
Sleep: He sleeps from 8:30-8:30 most nights unless he gets up to go to Aunt Lee Lee's
Accomplishments: Grabbing your hand and walking you somewhere if he needs help getting there, says "nana" for banana, Mama, Da for Dada, Gigi, Jeff, Uck for truck, nack for snack, more, "Chssse" for Chase, "Dais" for Daisy... although we haven't heard that one much anymore :(

Fourteen Months

Bennett's Likes: WALKING!!!, Saying "no" to answer any question, giving kisses, taking an object from one person to another when asked, drinking Mommy or Daddy's drinks and saying "mmmmm," baths, his lawn mower, Chase and Daisy- he screams with excitement when the come in the room, sitting on the tractor at baseball

Bennett's Dislikes: Coming inside when he's been outside
