Successful Day

I have had a busy weekend babysitting, but I got off a few hours earlier than expected today, so I was able to finish up a few projects that I had either started, or just bought the supplies for.

So here they are:

First is the I Love You Because frame that I have seen on Pinterest.  The glass acts as a dry-erase board and you can write why you love your spouse as a little surprise.  Can't decide whether this will sit on the counter or be put on the fridge with magnetic tape, but it's finished!
The idea was from here: http://pinterest.com/pin/36169603227598515/
Second is the Menu board that is also floating around Pinterest.  This one took me awhile longer, but I am pleased with its progress.  Each day has a clothespin and the meal is on a laminated card.  The top box holds all the meals and then when they have been made, they go into the bottom box until the top box is empty.
This is where the idea is from: http://pinterest.com/pin/36169603227286118/
Lastly is an idea that I got from a dear friend who is also struggling with a loss.  She showed me the incredible poem and I printed it on the pink scrapbooking paper and added the heart.  I am hoping to find a butterfly to add instead one day.

That's Mr. Chase To You

Having cats is a lot of fun, but dressing them up is even more fun!  With that said, I would like to introduce to you the newest teacher at Central, Mr. Chase (complete with his shirt and tie)

Facing Fears

You may or may not know that I am deathly afraid of blood and needles.  When I just had my procedure a few weeks ago, I asked them to take my blood while I was put under so that I didn't have to be awake for them taking my blood sometime this year to check my thyroid.  They agreed, which I was thankful for, but actually took my blood while I was awake and before I was put under, so mission failed, but hey, I lived.

With that said, Jason and I just took two big steps.  The first thing that we did was sign up to be on the National Bone Marrow Registry!  Our kits just came and we are excited to get them finished and sent back so we can be available to help as soon as someone needs us!  We were SO thankful when they found two matches for Kadence throughout this process, so we figured we would do our part!

Next up is giving blood!!

All for you Kader <3
